Expert Agronomy For Large Biofuels And Biomass Projects

Products

Dr. Barlow has spent much of the last thirty-five years becoming expert in soil biology and how to achieve crop health with non-chemical, non-fertilizer products that stimulate plant growth leading to higher yields and profits for growers.

FoliarPro™--Soilweb, Inc. manufactures and markets its in-house FoliarPro™ brand of advanced biological product that increases the health and yields of crops in addition to what is achieved with good fertilizer practices.

FoliarPro™ is based upon a proprietary formula developed in the 1970's that was used to win yield competitions in the Midwest.  The formula has been improved and was recently tested by the University of Wyoming experiment station where it gave superior results.

FoliarPro™ is applied as a seed soak, root dip, soil treatment and foliar spray to increase the size and yield of row crops, trees and vines.

This non-toxic biological product has been used in the Russian Far East, Canada, the U.S., Ghana and Cambodia where it has given dramatic increases in yields in a number of crops.

Polyploid clonal plant stock for biofuel, biomas and carbon credits
A breakthrough for biofuels, biomass, pulp and carbon sequestration projects is the recent discovery of how to create a stable "polyploid" genome in woody plants.

Polyploidy means having extra or duplicate sets of chromosomes in the nucleus of every cell in an organism, including plants.  Polyploidy occurs in Nature and is not a GMO type of trans-genetic breeding.

Polyploid plants grow much faster and give higher yields because they have a more efficient process of photosynthesis that captures more carbon from the atmosphere.

The two cross sections in the picture are of four-year-old Paulownia trees.  They are the same age!  The polyploid clone is on the right.  Polyploidy changes the economics of plantation projects.  Using polypoloid stock, plantations can get higher yields sooner and for the life of the project.  Contact us for access to this technology.

High-Yielding Castor--There has also been a breakthrough in the breeding of Castor that has achieved high-yielding varieties that change the economics of growing castor for oil that is used in high-end products, such as specialty lubricants and base chemistry for plastics.  This oil is currently selling for $2,000 per tonne.

The new hybrids available today are yielding up to four metric tonnes of oil (not seed) per hectare per year.  The oil from these varieties is less viscous than normal castor oil and can be efficiently refined for use in specialty products.

Other varieties that are in development will produce five metric tonnes of castor oil per hectare per year.  These varieties can be sourced through Soilweb, Inc.  Contact us.
